A corrugated sheet roll forming machine uses multiple rollers to gradually shape the sheet, transforming it from flat sheet into corrugated sheet. The specific process is as follows:
Coiled metal sheet (such as galvanized sheet or color-coated steel sheet) is hoisted onto the uncoiler, where it is automatically unwound by the unwinder and fed into the feeder.
The feeder conveys the sheet to the leveling machine, where it is squeezed by multiple sets of rollers to eliminate any wavy or curved shapes, ensuring a flat sheet for the forming process.
The flat sheet enters the forming section of the main machine and passes through multiple sets of rollers with designed profiles. Each set of rollers applies a specific pressure to the sheet, gradually bending it. As the sheet continues to move forward, after 10, 20, or even more forming passes, the desired corrugated shape (such as trapezoidal or sinusoidal) is finally achieved.
The formed corrugated sheet continues to be conveyed to the set length and reaches the cutting device. A cutting mechanism (usually a hydraulic or mechanical shear) precisely cuts the sheets to the preset dimensions, separating the finished corrugated sheets into individual pieces.
The cut sheets are then transferred from the outfeed rack to the receiving platform, where they are stacked manually or by a robotic arm, completing the entire production process.
A PLC control system coordinates the entire process. Sensors monitor sheet position, forming dimensions, and equipment operating status in real time, ensuring consistent sheet quality and consistent production. Changing sheet specifications can be accomplished by adjusting the roller spacing, replacing the mold, or modifying control system parameters.
